The Cultural Center hosts events and programs, provides affirming spaces and leads institutional support for diverse genders and sexualities on campus to feel safe exploring their identity and establishing a sense of community. Signature Events

International Pronouns Day
International Pronouns Day recognizes the significance of all pronouns to one's identity. All are encouraged to participate in the day as The Cultural Center offers pronoun buttons, pins and other items that show off your pronouns. All across campus are welcome to show their allyship with gender diversity!

National Coming Out Day
The Cultural Center celebrates the importance of expressing one's authentic self on National Coming Out Day, recognized every October 11. Join the Cultural Center with our pride themed swag and an opportunity to take a picture with our rainbow coming out door! All are welcome to celebrate identity and/or their peers!

Homecoming OUT
The Cultural Center and the Queer Student Alliance invites all to the Homecoming OUT dance - a dance for all to celebrate gender and sexual diversity. The dance happens during Homecoming week and features a live DJ, drag, food and dancing!

Transgender Day of Remembrance
Transgender Day of Remembrance is globally recognized to honor the transgender and non-binary lives lost due to hatred and violence. Since 1999, the day has been recognized on November 20 and vigils are held around the world to memoralize those we have lost in community. The Cultural Center holds the vigil for the community of University of Denver and welcome all to support and show in solidarity during the evening.

Pride Prom
The Cultural Center and Queer Student Alliance welcomes all to Pride Prom! A dance dedicated to celebrating all genders and sexualities and giving a second chance to give a positive and affirming prom experience.

Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduations and similar ceremonies historically celebrate the academic achievements and university experience of all genders and sexualities. This affirming celebration began in 1995 at the University of Michigan and is now celebrated across universities in the US. DU welcomes all to participate in celebrating their identity and academic journey through this ceremony.
